Comparison and Contrast of Education Disciplines

For class room management, three important education disciplines are mainly considered by teachers: Harry and Rosemary Wong’s Pragmatic Classroom Management Plan, Kagan, Kyle and Scott’s Win-Win Strategies, and Ronald Morrish’s Real Discipline.   • The cause for disruptive behavior is found out for the improvement of the student rather than simply improving the disruptive behavior
  • Courtesy and consideration used by the teachers allows students to feel emotionally attached and more prone to be influenced to learn within rules and standard behavior
  • It gives less emphasis to directing students to other positive behaviors whilst regulating their behaviors according to rules and standards
  • Not all procedures can be taught, they are learned from experience
  • Expectations and standards are not clearly put forward in front of the students
  • Without teachers establishing a strong position, their influence may be limited. For some rules they would have to strict for implementation
